How many countries are participating in the Rugby World Cup 2015?  There are 20 countries

participating in the Rugby World Cup. There are 4 pools of 5 countries competing.

How many flags are there altogether? There are 20 flags altogether

How many flags have blue on them? There are 11 flags that have blue on them

How many flags have red on them? There are 16 flags with red on them

How many flags have orange on them? There is 1 flag with orange on it

How many flags have white on them? There are 19 flags that have white on them

How many flags have black on them? There is only 1 flag that has black on it

How many flags have yellow on them? There are 6 flags that have yellow on them

How many flags have a union jack on them? There are 3 flags that have the union jack on them

How many flags have a symbol on them? All the flags have symbols on them even the ones with stripes, they mean something to other people

How many flags have stripes on them? There are 9 flags that have stripes on them

How many flags have more than three colours? There are 4 flags that have more than 3 colours

How many flags have less than three colours? There are five flags that have less than 3 colours.

How many flags have only one colour on them? There are no flag with one color.

How many flags have stars on them? There are 4 flags with stars

How many stars are on the New Zealand flag?  There are 4 stars on the NZ flag

How many stars are there on the Australian flag? There are 6 flags on the Aussie flag

How many stars are on the USA flag? There are 50 stars on the US flag

How many flags have a cross on them? There are 6 flags that have a cross on them

What is my favourite flag and why? 
My Favourite flag is the New Zealand Flag because it represents our country and it shows who New Zealand really is! Mrs. Cochrane's favourite, Go all Blacks!!!
I love the Samoan flag, it is the country I come from, by Kaydence.
I love the Scotland flag because it has my two favourite color, by Faith.
I love the Wales flag because of the dragon symbol, by Liezl.
I love the Samoan flag because they desire to win the cup, by Maranita and Ronan.
I love the Tongan flag, it is the country I come from, by Amanda.
I love the Argentinean flag because of the sun, symbol for warmth and life, 
by Joshua C and Joshua J.
I love the Canadian flag because of the unique maple leaf symbol, by AJ.
I love the South African flag because I like the colors and the stripes, by Mikayla.
I love the Australian flag because most of my dad's family live there, by Maira.

    1. The website we found said 20. Though, thank you for correcting us even though it is too late!

    2. Ya i agree with Maranita. The website really said 20 countries are in RWC 2015. And there are 4 pools (Pool A, Pool B, Pool C, Pool D) which means there should be 5 countries per pool. If there were 12 countries I don't think it would be 4 pools. And as Maranita said, it is a bit too late. But thanks anyway!

  2. Great Maths activity, room 4... all are totally engaged counting colors, stars, stripes and other aspects on the flags. Good understanding of symbols and representations on the flag. Let us support the All Blacks, NZ pride and joy...... let us know the updates and pray that we will do well.
