DOGO News present--
On the 21st of October the famous Mcfly travels for the fans of the old movie “Back to the Future”. During the movie, Mcfly has travelled back into the future to the place where his children are being born, in the Hill Valley of California.
Did you see those sneakers in “Back to the future”? During this AMAZING celebration event, Nike has just released some new shoes which were in the movie “Back to the Future”. Although the ones McFly wear are just props! But the heels still lighted up in the movie. What is super cool that there is no battery that can sway down the leg because it is built in the shoe! The shoe can tighten and loosen.
Nike made these designs as a fictional one. Except the ones that Mcfly wear are not the ones that can tie laces by themselves. Although on the real shoes there is a manual button to press to allow to loosen or to tighten. That was the only way to let the shoe do it's thing. Thanks to the amazing and creative designer Tinker Hatfield!!
People are inspired by McFly wearing the first pair of the Nike Mag Sneakers. These shoes are very popular so they have to be SUPER expensive at the moment. Also selling these shoes are copyright so absolutely no-one can sell these shoes but only Nike. After the movie the shoes will be auction to sell the shoes. The shoes will be cheaper in a few years time.
Do you want to wait for years for these shoe costs to drop? Do you think that it won’t be popular in about 2 years? Tell me your answers down below.

On Wednesday the 21st of October 2015 was “Back to the Future” day. It is a trilogy about Marty McFly and Doctor Brown who travel 30 years into the future. They arrive into the city of Hill Valley CA, to save Marty McFly’s not yet born children. Fans worldwide have long awaited “Back to the Future Day”!
In order to celebrate this special event , the famous brand Nike has released a great model of the well known Nike Mag sneakers that Marty McFly wore. Even though the ones McFly wore in the movie were just props, these new releases are the real deal! These shoes have the ability to tie their own laces and the heels also light up and better yet, they can function without wires or a battery connected to it! How Awesome!
But this isn’t the first time Nike designer Tinker Hatfield created the original design. He has tried to introduce this shoe before, but in 2011 the version failed because although the shoes looked really good and exactly like the ones McFly wore, it had one problem, it didn’t self lace. However this time the company says that it has made the technology which can sense when the foot goes in and the shoe automatically tightens the laces! They also have manual controls just in case you wanna loosen or tighten the grip if desired.
Since the shoes are inspired by Marty McFly, it is only fair that the first pair be delivered to the famous Michael J Fox, the actor who played Marty McFly on October the 21st. The good news is that Nike are planning to release some extra pairs in 2016. The bad news is that these shoes will be limited edition and only available in auction. The Nike company also says that all the profits will go to the Michael J Fox foundation, which will help with the Parkinson's research. But it will probably be way too expensive for most of us. The only hope we have for ordinary Nike shoe buyers is that Nike will make their new shoe copyright so that they can put the shoes into “Ordinary Sneakers”, that we can all afford!

Nike unveils Marty McFly's Iconic Power-Lace Shoes on 'Back to the Future' Day
By: Tino
On October 21st many fans have been waiting for the Back to the Future Trilogy where Marty McFly and Doctor Brown travel 30 years in the future to a unreal city of Hill Valley California, to save Marty McFly’s yet to be born children. Do you think Marty McFly can save his yet to be born children?
Anyway, to celebrate the special event. Nike just released a complete functional version of a well-known Nike Mag Sneakers that Marty McFly will wear in the movie. However the sneakers he is wearing in Back to the Future II are just props, but the recent release is the real thing.
Apparently this is actually not the first time Tinker Hatfield the creator who created the real fictional design. He tries to present an original version of the iconic sneakers. The 2011 version, the battery did not last long. It has one flaw it did not self-lace. Though this time the company says they have developed and changed the technology in the shoe, that can sense the foot automatically. It tightens the so called power laces in the lower part of the sneaker around the foot. It can close the strap that fits around the person’s ankle. The coolest part of the iconic sneakers is that it has a manual control to allow to tighten or loosen the grip of the lace.
The shoes are inspired by Marty McFly, it is the only fitting first pair of Nike Mag Sneakers send to Michael J.Fox, the actor of the fictional character, Marty McFly on October 21st 2015. Therefore the good news is that there will be an additional pair in 2016. What is the bad news? This is a limited edition also these iconic mag sneakers will only be available only through auction.
The company says all the money from the iconic mag sneakers will be donated to the Michael J.Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Even though that is good news it also means that the mag Nike
will be too expensive for us.

If you didn’t know, Wednesday, October 21st was back to the future day. 30 years ago there is a trilogy called Back to the Future. If you are unfamiliar with the movie, in the movie they want to go back to the date 21 October 2015. The film's protagonist are Marty Mcfly and Doctor Brown. In the city of Hill Valley California, people have been excited to save Mcfly’s yet to be born children.
Do you remember Marty's cool shoes? Have you ever wanted one? Well now the the Nike brand has invented shoes that is just like Marty’s flashing shoes. Wouldn’t be cool if your shoes could tie itself? These shoes can even light up! Like the ones in the movie , they have battery wires hanging down the leg. But these are better, don’t worry about tripping over electrical wires, the battery is built in.
This actually is the second time for Tinker Hatfield, the Nike designer to try to create a real life version of the iconic sneakers. The 2011 version has every detail and it looks just like Marty Mcfly. But the only thing, it didn’t have the self-lacing mechanism.
This time the company has found a technology which automatically tighten the lace when it senses your foot, It can tighten around the foot and around the ankle. There's also a manual which can loosen or tighten grip if needed.
Since these shoes are inspired by Marty Mcfly’s shoes, it fits to give the first pair of Nike Mags for Michael J.Fox the actor who played Marty Mcfly. Nike plans to release additional pairs in 2016. But they will only be a limited edition and they only sell them through auction. All the money will go to Michael J. Fox Foundation which is Parkinson research will benefit from the sale. That's good news but it means it will be expensive for us. What an great invention. I would love to have a pair of Nike Mags. Would you?
Pleases comment down below, would you like a pair of Nike Mags? I would love to hear your thoughts.

All Souls' Day is the day for honouring our dead loved ones. This day is observed by Catholics as a holy day to light candles and say prayers for the dead. The whole school celebrated and offered prayers and mass for the faithful departed souls.
Eternal rest,
grant unto them O Lord
and let perpetual light
shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.

Stingrays. What do you think when somebody says the word stingray? Do you think of a really vicious sea creature that stings you to death? Or do you think of a flat harmless sea creature that has a stinger that they can use when they suddenly turn against you? Well Stingrays are related to the shark family but otherwise these creatures can be harmless.
Stingrays are flat sea creatures with a long tail and a barb on the end of it. Usually there can be more than one barb on the tail, which the stingrays use for self defence. The stingrays eyes are on the top of it’s head and the nostril and mouth on the bottom. Although their eyes are on the top of their heads, they don’t use their eyes to hunt down and find their food. They use their sense of smell all the time. Stingrays smell for their food and they eat snails, shrimp, clams, small fish and other small creatures around the ocean.
Stingrays do NOT sting unless you stand on them. So if you ever stand on a stingray you better run! A stingray can live up to 15-25 years of age and 16.5 feet which is 5 metres long and can weigh up to 1,320 pounds which is 600KG! Did you know that stingrays don’t have bones but their skeleton is made out of cartilage, a flexible firm kind of tissue that is white, just like their relative, the shark.
The stingray swims almost like a bird, sometimes it flaps its side using them like wings which makes them glide through the water. Or sometimes they move in a swaying kind of ways which allows them to push their way through the water. Stingrays can be useful as well, their rough, tough skin can be used to make shoes, wallets, boots, belts and more. In Japan they use the skin to make an underlayer for their Japanese swords, which is perfect because it holds the sword in place so it doesn’t slip away. In other parts of the world such as Malaysia and Singapore, they eat stingray. They grill it and mix it with special sauces.
Are stingrays harmless l? Or are they just another type of sea creature that gets misjudged? I think that they are perfectly good sea creatures, just don’t step on them!

Baby stingray

Baby stingrays are very little and cute. These are questions that I want to find out about them.
* Where do they live?
* How do they move?
* What do they do most of their time?
* What do they eat?
* What do they like to do?
* What are the special features of a baby stingray?
Baby stingrays live in tropical oceans, and subtropical areas around the world. They like to stay in places where it is warm and shallow water. To move, they swim and flip their flippers up and down. Some people say that stingrays including baby ones “fly” through the water. Most of their time, they hide on the ocean floor. There are 60 differents species of stingrays and some of them are endangered. Baby stingrays eat shrimps they find in the water.
The special features of a stingray are that they have a poisonous barb on their tails that they use for self defense. Baby stingrays like to hide in their own time. They like to hide in places where they can camouflage so that no one can see them.

Our Prayer for Justice and Peace
Thanksgiving for the Call to Promote Peace and Justice
by: Jane Deren, PhD
We choose to live grounded
in your love, God of goodness,
And to your proclaim your wisdom,
the path of justice and peace.
We are thankful for your call,
For the Spirit that graces us,
For the social issues that engage us, and
For the communities that embrace us.
You have gifted us
And called us by name.
Even in times of darkness
We are moved toward
The Light of your Word.
We form the word peace,
We sing out the word of justice,
And we become, again and again,
Part of the chorus that echoes
Your music, your hope, your vision.
O God Source of Life, Creator of Peace,
help your children, anguished and confused
to understand the futility of hatred and violence
and grant them the ability to stretch across
political, religious and national boundaries
so they may comfort horror and fear
by continuing together
in the search for justice, peace and truth.
With every fiber of our being
we beg You, O God, to help us not to fail nor falter. Amen.
Thank you Holy Spirit for you are always present and working in our lives. You walk alongside us teaching self-control, showing love for others, how to have peace and joy, how to be generous, gentle and kind and building our faith in loving God the Father, Jesus the Son and Mother Mary.

Prayer of Hope
By Education for Justice
I believe that behind the mist the sun waits.
I believe that beyond the dark night it is raining stars.
I believe in the secret volcanoes and the world below.
I believe that this lost ship will reach port.
They will not rob me of hope,
it shall not be broken,
it shall not be broken.
My voice is filled to overflowing with the desire to sing,
the desire to sing.
I believe in reason and not in force of arms.
I believe that peace will be sown throughout the earth.
I believe in our nobility,
created in the image of God,
and with free will reaching for the skies.
They will not rob me of hope,
it shall not be broken.
Prayers are presented and organized by: Liezl, Faith and Amy
